My Father Cigars S.A. founded with Jaime García
Pepin and his son Jaime García co-found My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. The name is Jaime's tribute to his father. The factory becomes one of the most respected in the world, producing cigars for My Father, Davidoff, Tatuaje, and others.
Pepin García arrives in the USA
José 'Pepin' García, a Master Blender from El Laguito (Cohiba's factory) in Havana, emigrates from Cuba to Miami. His skill is immediately recognised by boutique brand owners who commission him to blend their cigars.
