High-altitude Nicaraguan valley prized for nuanced, sweeter leaf with less body than Estelí. Used by Oliva (Melanio), Padrón, My Father, and many boutique brands. The elevation and volcanic soils produce a distinct terroir impossible to replicate elsewhere.

Founded by Abdel J. Fernandez, a Cuban-born master blender raised in Pinar del Río. He launched his own factory and brand in 2014 after years blending for other manufacturers. The New World and San Lotano lines established him as one of the most sought-after blenders of his generation.
